Composting in the backyard

We tend to gravitate towards articles that mention solar powered cell phones, cell phone chargers, train travel, bike riding, celebrating Earth Day. Flashing back to our Earth Day post, we listed some goals we’ve set for ourselves, one of them being composting. Well, we finally purchased our Earth Machine, an easy (or so the booklet states) way to compost kitchen garbage. We’ve set it up right outside the kitchen door and should have some beautifully composted trash in 4-6 months! My biggest concern are the rodent-sized beetles that seem to enjoy our humble home and may find our compost bin enticing. Updates to be posted soon…
